• Ovals are portrait. Each 20cm oval decal is 133.3mm wide by 200mm tall – a tall 2:3 shape, like a passport photo or a cameo. Portrait photos fit naturally; a landscape photo will need zooming in, so pick photos where the subject sits in the middle.
• Keep faces in the centre. The rounded ends and the sides of the oval trim away the corners of your photo. Anything important – a face, a hand, a pet’s ears – should sit inside the oval guide you see in the uploader, not at the edges.
• Mix your shapes. Oval photo wall decals sit beautifully beside our round photo decals and square photo decals – the curves soften a grid, and a row of ovals down a hallway reads like a gallery of cameos.
